SU Success Coach
General Statement of Duties
SU SUCCESS Coaches are grant-funded positions supported by the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education. Coaches provide individualized coaching services to a caseload of students, many of whom identify as first-generation and/or income eligible. They are responsible for developing and implementing a relationship-based coaching model that promotes overall student success and increases retention, persistence, and graduation rates by helping students strengthen self-regulation, motivation, and academic skills.
In addition, SU SUCCESS Coaches assist with the development and maintenance of programmatic materials and an academic coaching curriculum. Coaches also support and contribute to early alert and early intervention initiatives, maintain ongoing, proactive, high-touch outreach communication, and serve as key connectors among Enrollment Management & Student Success, Student Affairs, and Academic Affairs—particularly when coordinating and implementing student success strategies for at-risk students.
