Summary of Job Duties: Instructs and leads student learning in the absence of a regular teacher and in accordance with the goals, directives, and curriculum of the University of Arkansas Fort Smith Little Lions Child Development Center.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or a GED.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or over.
• Current knowledge of Arkansas Child Development and Early Learning Standards.
• Infant/Child CPR Certification
• Ability to provide flexible support of transitions.
• Ability to guide and support student learning through.
• Excellence in communication with colleagues, students, and families.
• Ability to lift to forty pounds.
• Ability to be physically active all day with children indoors.
• Frequent kneeling, occasionally reaching above the head or the shoulders.
• Model appropriate play behavior such as imagination and use of toys.
• Foster teamwork through positive work communication.

Background Check: must pass Criminal Background Check, Child Maltreatment Check, FBI Background Check, and Sex Offender Registry.

Salary Information: $12/hour
