Position Highlights
The University is seeking a Sustainable Transportation Coordinator to manage daily operations of its sustainable transportation programs, support team members, and lead community outreach initiatives. This role ensures that bicycle, pedestrian, and related programs align with Parking and Transportation Services' (PTS) values and service model, while also contributing to program planning, development, and implementation. This position is part of the Alternative Transportation division, which supports the department's mobility goals and the University's sustainability initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and field support for the Alternative Transportation department of Parking and Transportation Services.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of various bike programs (including rentals, secure parking, registration, repair stations, and more) and other sustainable transportation programs.
- Hire, train, and supervise student employees to support program operations.
- Attend and develop community and stakeholder events and outreach activities to provide education and encourage car-free travel behaviors to achieve the department's program goals.
- Provide excellent service while interacting with and assisting students, staff, and community members.
- Serve as a University liaison for collaboration with relevant community partners.
- Oversee the preventative maintenance schedule and operations calendar for the Bike Operations unit within the Alternative Transportation department. This includes cleaning and maintaining bike facilities, managing field equipment, processing surplus property, refreshing program signage and path markings, addressing internal service requests, and other duties as assigned.
- Collect and analyze program data to determine trends.
- Conduct benchmarking and research to recommend program improvements to Manager.
- Assist with the production of new ideas and procedure updates to better support the department's Bike Friendly University aspirations, Transportation Demand Management goals, and the University's sustainability initiatives.
- Assist Manager with budget forecasting and management.

- Strong time-management and organizational abilities, with the capacity to effectively manage and prioritize multiple time-sensitive projects.
Physical Requirement
- Ability to operate hand and small power tools/equipment: mixers, drills, grinders, wrenches, hammers, drivers, and cutters.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- Seven years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with sustainable transportation options (bicycling, scooter, transit, walking, etc.).
- Experience developing and executing outreach or engagement initiatives.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
