Position Summary: SUNY Cortland is accepting applications for part-time, temporary Swim Instructors. Successful candidates will be responsible for teaching water safety and aquatic skills to participants.

Major Responsibilities: Swim instructors will teach water safety and aquatic skills to participants. Preference is given to candidates with current certification in swim instruction (i.e. American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor), previous certification (expired), and experienced water safety/swim instructors. Orientation, In-service training is required at least once a semester, more if deemed necessary by a supervisor.
Functional and Supervisory Relationships: Will report to the facility/program supervisor, and head swim coach.
Required Qualifications: Certified as a water safety educator or past teaching experience in aquatics.
Preferred Qualifications: Certification as a water safety educator.
