Job Summary:
This role supports the administration, maintenance, and integration of Tarrant County College’s (TCC) cloud computing and enterprise platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 (M365), and Amazon Web Services (AWS)) and virtualization technologies. The position assists with deploying and managing applications in the cloud and maintaining physical and virtual servers and desktops. Works with network, security, and application teams to help ensure systems are reliable, issues are addressed promptly, and services meet user needs.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Performance Requirements*
- Supports the configuration, maintenance, and administration of systems and resources within cloud computing and enterprise platforms (e.g., Azure, M365, AWS) and virtualization environments
- Maintains physical and virtual servers across on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring system availability and reliability
- Assists with the support and optimization of virtual desktop and server environments to maintain system performance
- Works with application development, infrastructure, information security, and support teams to assist in implementing and maintaining applications and services
- Monitors system performance, security alerts, and service health, and escalates issues as appropriate
- Assists in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cloud and virtual environments
- Collaborates with identity and access management team to support user account and access-related processes
- Maintains technical documentation, including procedures, configurations, and user support materials
- Performs routine system maintenance tasks, including backups and support for disaster recovery activities
- Assists in monitoring and optimizing cloud resource usage to support cost efficiency and performance
Service Excellence
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
- Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the assigned department leader

Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or 60 college credit hours and four (4) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least two (2) year’s working experience with virtualization technologies
- At least two (2) year’s working experience using networking principles and concepts to support virtual networking
- At least two (2) year’s working experience implementing formal change control systems based on the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
- At least one (1) of the following current certifications:
- a. Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) Certification
- b. Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300) Certification
- c. Microsoft 365 Copilot and Agent Administration Fundamentals (AB-900) Certification
- d. Omnissa Certified Administrator – Horizon (OCA-H)
- e. Omnissa Certified Administrator – Workspace ONE (OCA-W)
- f. Industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) Certification)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of networking principles and concepts
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11 and/or Microsoft Server 2019 or later
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Graph PowerShell, including practical application through work experience
- Skilled in working with VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi and vCenter Server
- Skilled in working with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Remote Desktop Session Host (RDSH) technologies
- Skilled in delivering high-quality customer service and building effective interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills with technical and non-technical customers
- Skilled in using desktop applications and enterprise systems, including the Microsoft Office suite
- Skilled in working with change control systems based on the ITIL model
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in collaborative environments, engaging with individuals across a range of technical skill levels
- Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
- Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
- Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly while exhibiting strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
