T32 Cardiovascular Research Training Program
The Wilf Family Cardiovascular Research Institute within the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City is seeking candidates for postdoctoral training positions supported by an NIH/NHLBI T32 Cardiovascular Training Grant.
We are looking for highly motivated and talented individuals with PhD, DrPH, MD, DVM, or MD/PhD degrees who aspire to careers in cardiovascular research and discovery. Fellows receive a stipend commensurate with their level of training and other benefits. Candidates must be either a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident.
The Albert Einstein College of Medicine has a long and rich history of cardiovascular discovery, including innovations in NHLBI-sponsored training spanning from the 1970s to the present day. The primary goal of our T32 program is to engage individuals in state-of-the-art approaches to the study of cardiovascular disease prevalence and pathogenesis including basic science, clinical research and population-based studies. Areas of interest include cardiac injury/remodeling (Nikolaos Frangogiannis), brain regulation of metabolism and blood pressure (Dongsheng Cai), chemical/structural biology and drug development targeting cell death (Evripidis Gavathiotis), hematopoietic stem cell biology (Keisuke Ito), Ca2+ and miRNAs (Gaetano Santulli), cardiovascular development (Bernice Morrow), cardiovascular epidemiology (Carlos Rodriguez, Carmen Isasi, Robert Kaplan), bioinformatics and gene regulatory networks (Deyou Zheng), chaperone-mediated autophagy and aging (Ana Maria Cuervo, Derek Huffman), cell death signaling (Richard Kitsis), heart failure and circulatory support (Omar Saeed), metabolism in vascular disease (Wei Chen, Dario Riascos-Bernal, Nicholas Sibinga), and pulmonary vascular disease (Alexandra Racanelli).
