Job Summary:

Join the Central HR team as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. This is a full-time role on the Talent Acquisition and Classification team. The Specialist provides HR coordination to a team of 12 individuals working in the areas of classification and talent acquisition University Staff and Classified (State) staff; ensures compliance with State personnel laws, rules, regulations, procedures, and guidelines; and communicates internally and externally, about human resource practices and specific actions. The individual in this role should be a self-starter who works well in a group setting and individually. We seek an individual who thrives in a team environment, is willing to learn, and prioritizes customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates job postings in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Manages the reference checking process, which includes entering, monitoring and emailing hiring managers the results
  • Manages the general inbox accounts and responds to applicant inquiries
  • Serves as the coordinator for the university's SkillBridge Fellowship program - responding to initial inquiries
  • Assists in managing the Indeed and LinkedIn recruitment tools and manages the Glassdoor account
  • Maintains and edits the department website

Work Location:

Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six months or more of human resources experience supporting talent acquisition, classification or position management functions.
  • Experience managing social media communications - Glassdoor, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Experience managing and editing website content
  • Experience posting jobs in an applicant tracking system
  • Customer service experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
  • Knowledge of the military SkillBridge Program

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $50,000 - $52,000.
