What You'll Do and Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a Talent Management & Development Program Manager to join our small, collaborative team within the People Strategy, Equity, and Culture (PSEC) division. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting faculty and staff through well-designed and inclusive training programs. This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist who enjoys both the strategic side of program design and the hands-on work of facilitation, as well as working independently with opportunities for collaboration across teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for college-wide professional development programs such as supervisor and performance management training. You will be the driving force behind these new programs, which will be built by you with support from leadership, and offered and managed by you in perpetuity.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, education, organizational development, or related field (relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis).

Minimum of four (4) years in learning and development, with time spent both developing educational content and facilitating in virtual, hybrid, and in-person classroom environments.

OR Bachelor’s degree in any field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience related to the area of assignment.

Success Criteria:

  • Experience launching and managing organization-wide learning initiatives, which may include: manager and supervisor training, internship and/or job sharing programs, hiring committee training, performance management training, and high potential programs.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and/or supporting professional learning programs and initiatives that support organizational goals and embrace human centered and universal design best practices.
  • Experience leading initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences and organizational levels, adapting messaging to engage employees, leaders, and stakeholders.
  • Participation in leading and/or supporting change management initiatives.
  • Proven success in building partnerships and collaborating across departments, divisions, and stakeholder groups to advance institutional learning and talent priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience collecting and analyzing data on training effectiveness, ramp-up time, and employee retention to provide actionable insights to PSEC leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience fostering an inclusive workplace that supports the equity and belonging work central to PSEC.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Preferred experience in providing learning programs within a union environment.

How We Determine Initial Salary Placement

Minimum $77,862 to range midpoint of $95,377. Placement will generally not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
