• Search NumberPJ # 7233TitleHead Coach, Men's LacrosseCategoryProfessionalDepartmentAthletics & RecreationAbout The Position:This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III Men’s Lacrosse Program, including but not limited to; practice planning, recruiting, game day management, and scheduling. This position will assist the Director of Athletics and Recreation with the long-term planning and development of the Men’s Lacrosse program and an additional administrative area will also be assigned. The department of Athletics & Recreation subscribes to the philosophy that athletics complements the total education experience of our students. We allow multiple ways for students to compete or participate in a variety of quality athletic programs consistent with the overall educational mission of SUNY Plattsburgh. We are part of the Enrollment and Student Success division which supports a student’s entire collegiate experience from the point of admission through to graduation. • Head or assistant lacrosse coaching experience at the NCAA level
• Demonstrated understanding of NCAA Rules and Regulations
• A valid driver’s license at the time of appointment and the ability and willingness to drive fleet vehicles
• CPR/AED certification will be required within one month of appointment
• Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, organization and relationship building
• Willingness and ability to perform some evening and weekend work
• A demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty, staff and administrators
• Preferred Qualifications:Collegiate head coaching experience
• Master’s degree
• Demonstrated experience with developing productive relationships with various internal and external constituents, including students
• SUNYAC coaching and/or playing experience
