Assistant Director, Football Video Operations
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Director, Football Video Operations, provide audio and visual needs to the UCLA Football program and also serve as a contact for equipment inventory and maintenance of the department’s video and media assets. Individual will assist in the training and scheduling of part time staff to help accomplish goals of the football video department. Events include, but are not limited to: practices, competitions, and selected specialty events which includes, but not limited to, Official Visits. Additionally, the role will assist in creating and help manage the Wasserman Football Facility’s video system(s) and maintain working schematics of all Audio/Visual assets. The Assistant Director, Football Video Operations will assist in managing the UCLA Football video archives and the video department inventory.
Salary & Compensation

Qualifications
- Ability to operate and perform basic maintenance on a wide range of audio-visual equipment, including, but not limited to, video cameras, projectors, monitors, tablets, audio equipment, speakers, microphones, sport related software and a variety of network cables and connectors. (Required)
- Strong knowledge in Catapult Video Editing Systems strongly preferred. (Preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and distinctly, to obtain and convey information to individuals at various organization levels, explain policies and procedures, and aid others. (Required)
- Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coaching, football staff, and University staff, students, and members of diverse academic, administrative, and technical disciplines. (Required)
- Ability to successfully resolve complaints and communicate problems in a diplomatic, tactful, and courteous manner. (Required)
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize assignments and work independently to complete assignments with various deadlines, competing requirements, changing priorities, and interruptions. (Required)
- Capacity to exercise sound judgment to handle sensitive and confidential information/material with discretion. (Required)
- Knowledge of safe work practices related to the handling, transporting, setting-up, and striking media/audio-visual equipment, as well as basic knowledge of safe electrical practices. (Required)
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds to transport equipment to various working locations. (Required)
- Possession of a valid Driver's License and ability to drive University vehicles and follow all policies and procedures related to the use of those vehicles. (Required)
- Ability to work collaboratively, proactively, and cooperatively in support of organizational goals and objectives. (Required)
- Working knowledge of and ability to comply with NCAA Rules and Regulations. (Required)
Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations
- Must possess, upon hire, and maintain a valid CA noncommercial Class C License in accordance with the California (CA) Department of Motor Vehicles. (Required)
Special Conditions for Employment
- Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
- Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment.
- CANRA: The position is designated as a mandatory reporter under CANRA. The employee must sign the "Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Child Abuse".
- Ability to work odd hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. (Required)
- 10% Ability to routinely travel to accommodate the video needs of UCLA Football.
