The Opportunity
Join the Trustworthy Digital Society (TDS) in the School of Computer Science and Engineering as a Project Officer to provide practical and efficient project support for project teams and key stakeholders.
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating events, projects, generating reports, and offering analytical support. You will handle complex inquiries with judgment, initiative, technical expertise, and discretion. Additionally, you will develop communications, foster key internal and external relationships, and provide administrative support for essential programs and projects.
The role reports to The Director Research Strategy – Trustworthy Digital Society (TDS) and will support senior staff in the Trustworthy Digital Society Hub. The role will have nil direct reports.
- Salary, Level 6: $100,354 to $107,054 per annum + 17% superannuation

Skills and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
- Demonstrated experience managing online and in person events.
- Sound stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience working with a range of computer systems and applications. Advanced word processing, PowerPoint, spreadsheet, database, desktop publishing, internet and e-mail skills, including proficiency with computer packages including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
- Project experience, with an understanding of the project life cycle and development of project plans, objectives and documentation.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple complex projects and events to completion within strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
- An understanding of and commitment to UNSW and UTS’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
- Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of research and project support in a high-volume environment.
