Nicolet College seeks a qualified Culinary Arts Adjunct Instructor to teach at the Rhinelander campus location. This individual is responsible for providing instruction and training to students in the culinary courses as needed. Flexibility in the work schedule is essential.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Deliver performance-based, learning-centered instruction in accordance with the mission, vision and philosophy of Nicolet College.
- Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning, as well as other aspects of work.
- Communicate regularly and provide consistent feedback to students about successful course completion.
- Maintain accurate scholastic records of students and submit required reports according to published deadlines.
- Ability to plan, organize, instruct, and facilitate quality education programs, including development of relevant curriculum.
Qualifications
- Ability to meet Faculty Assurance Qualification System (FQAS) certification requirements.
- Minimum two years, or 4,000 hours, of verified occupational work experience in the field of the program or programs being taught, of which at least one year shall be within the last five years. (One year of related occupational experience may be waived with at least two years of post-secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within the last five years.)
- Teaching or training experience is desirable, but not required.

- The employee must demonstrate strong attention to detail and must be able to problem solve and perform complex tasks without error.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to normal classroom and office conditions and usual office equipment.
- The employee will be constantly required to talk, hear, and type/write.
- The employee will be frequently required to sit, touch/handle/grasp (using hands and fingers) and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must occasionally move up to 10 pounds of general office items.
- Specific hearing abilities required by this job include hearing normal speaking-level sounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, far, and field of vision.
Compensation:
Adjunct instructors are extended an appointment letter for each course instructed. Benefits are not included with these part-time positions.
