Position Description:

This position is responsible for planning and implementing enrollment activities and programs for student recruitment, working with databases and student information systems such as People Soft, establishing and maintaining personal contact with area high schools to provide admission and educational counseling, collaborating with VCSU faculty and staff in recruitment efforts, and assisting with publication development. The person in this position must be willing to occasionally work outside office hours as needed along with seasonal overnight travel in ND and some out of state.

Minimum Qualifications:

An Associate's degree or higher and 2 years of office related experience (may substitute directly related work experience or education for minimum qualification requirements); valid driver's license, effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Exceptional organizational skills, including ability to multi-task. Excellent ability to interact and serve individuals from diverse backgrounds and age groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree, or earned bachelor’s degree by start date, Experience working in a college admission setting, higher education, or in a position that allows the candidate to work closely with young people, such as teaching. Familiarity with the VCSU and the surrounding Valley City community desired. Experience working with multiple integrated software systems.

Compensation:

 $32,000 - $38,000 annually and is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
