Exciting opportunity to lead the elective Internships team at the University of Adelaide.
Working under broad direction, the Manager, Internships is responsible for the leadership, development and coordination of services and initiatives to manage institution-wide support for internships and work-integrated-learning throughout the student lifecycle. This includes responsibility for the growth and development of new industry and government relationships and partnerships to facilitate increased internship opportunities for students. In addition, the Manager, Internships leads the delivery of continuous, business improvement and planning functions, and provides leadership and support to staff who coordinate internships.
To be successful you will need:
- Proven experience in leading, developing, motivating and managing a high-performing team to deliver service excellence and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in relationship and partnership development and management including a successful record of building close and productive relationships and partnerships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and insight into, the Australian higher education environment including national policy, strategies, issues and practices of work-integrated-learning, internships and the enhancement of university-employer interactions
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in effectively and strategically developing, leading and managing multiple activities and projects in a complex environment with competing deadlines and multiple stakeholders
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing including the ability to negotiate agreements.
