• Job Summary/Basic Function:The Department of Advanced Studies at SUNY Potsdam seeks to create a pool of adjunct instructors for its online graduate courses. Specific areas of need include Special Education, Literacy, Education Technology, Educational Leadership, and P-12 General Education. Adjunct instructors deliver courses and monitor student progress; communicate with students, department, and college personnel; and ensure all relevant learning resources are available to students.Job Requirements & Essential Functions of the Job:Deliver course syllabi and relevant supporting materials
• Create a dynamic and active online classroom environment that supports the learning of each individual student
• Administer and report results of assessments relevant to course student learning outcomes and departmental guidelines
• Provide timely feedback for all submitted student work
• Align course instruction and activities to stated student learning outcomes
• Required Qualifications:Master’s degree in Education or closely related field
• Experience teaching in a P-12 classroom setting (minimum of 2 years)
• Experience teaching online courses

• Preferred Qualifications:Doctorate in the appropriate disciplinary area
• Experience teaching at the college level
• Experience supervising field experiences and/or student teaching
• We are, especially, seeking candidates who have worked with, done research with, or taught under-represented groups and have worked collaboratively across various departments in fostering the success of underrepresented groups.
