Louisiana Tech University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership. We seek a dynamic and innovative individual with an advanced degree, doctorate preferred, in education or a related field and a preferred strong record of teaching, research, and clinical experience in special education or a closely related field. The successful candidate will join our faculty in delivering teaching, research, and service excellence.

The Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership offers undergraduate degrees in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education, M.Ed. degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.

• Position: Instructor or Tenure-Track Assistant or Associate Professor. Instructor, 12-month position. Tenure-Track, nine-month position.
• Location: Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, Louisiana

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Teach undergraduate courses with the opportunity to achieve graduate faculty status to instruct graduate courses. 
• Establish and maintain an active research program committed to securing external funding and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
• Advise and mentor students in their academic and professional development, including research projects and career opportunities. 
• Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across disciplines to foster a dynamic and inclusive academic environment. 
• Contribute to the department's service mission through active involvement in recruiting activities, programmatic support, and committee work.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Advanced degree in education or a related field
• Demonstrated clinical experience appropriate to the position
• Experience and interest in interdisciplinary collaboration 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse academic community 
• Willingness to contribute to the department's service mission through participation in recruiting efforts, accreditation and accountability, programmatic support, and committee work 
•  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Ed.D. or Ph.D. in education or a related field
• Demonstrated expertise in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in special education or related disciplines 
• Experience in advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students
