International Admissions Counselor
The University of Jamestown seeks a Jamestown-based international admissions counselor responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of new students from outside the United States. Counselors facilitate student recruitment through consistent and systematic efforts of phone contact, texting, emails, and social media communication. They also utilize face-to-face recruiting with prospective students and their families when appropriate. The primary objective of this position is to effectively articulate the mission and unique strengths of the University of Jamestown and the value of a private education to international students, particularly students from India and other countries in Asia. Duties include representing the University at events throughout the year, scheduling visits and travel plans for the season, maintaining contact with inquiries students throughout the admissions cycle, meeting with students and families, discussing financial aid, and staying abreast of regulations affecting international students and their ability to study in the United States. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
