Job Skills / Requirements
The Welcome Centre Coordinator serves as a first impression of the Centre College community. She/he is responsible for hosting prospective students and their families upon their arrival, orienting and directing visitors to appointments, and coordinating detailed aspects of campus tours and information sessions. This position will also conduct routine administrative processes in our CRM. Reports to the Director of Admission.
Essential Job Functions:
- Graciously welcome prospective students and their families to campus.
- Make an excellent first impression on behalf of the College.
- Maintain an engaging and comfortable space for visitors.
- Assist the Campus Visit Coordinator with scheduling the components of each visitor’s agenda, including coordinating details for athletic recruitment as necessary.
- Assist with the recruitment and training of student ambassadors and tour guides.
- Schedule airport pickup service for visitors as necessary.
- Daily preparation of the student’s visit agenda and materials.
- Schedule tour guides, overnight hosts, and airport shuttle drivers for admission visit events, including compensation as necessary.
- Serve as a resource for information about the College and the surrounding area.
- Conduct routine administrative functions in the Admission Office CRM (Slate) as assigned.
- Supervise student workers as assigned.
- Work collegially as part of the Office of Admission team.
Marginal Job Functions:
- Contribute to the overall success of the department by performing all other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience
High School diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong electronic calendaring skills, excellent oral communication skills and ability to manage time to accommodate multiple projects from various sources. Neat and professional appearance, positive attitude, flexible mindset, friendly demeanor, and a sense of humor are important.
Physical Requirements:
Limited pushing, pulling, lifting. Lifting would not exceed 20 lbs.
Mobility on campus necessary.

High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
