Description
The Coordinator of Student Activities and Community Engagement serves as a gatekeeper for all student organization related activities for the wider Student Affairs division. As a core member of the SAuCE Office, the Coordinator oversees and advises non-Rec/Waterfront clubs and assists with critical office initiatives. Receives, evaluates, and approves space requests as needed, event requests, and club registration. This position is critical in creating a vibrant, purposeful, and supportive college community where students make a positive difference, develop healthy and meaningful relationships with others, are empowered to take action, learn about themselves, and develop leadership and lifelong skills.
Examples of Duties
Reviewing club registration, organizing club re-registrations, and maintaining club activity/leadership records. This may include fundraising and club budgets. Also assists with club leaders event planning, enforcement of club policies, and club leadership training
Maintains accurate records of all club data. This may include but is not limited to the number of events/participation/location/date/fundraised dollar amount/expenditures/all types of forms such as liability forms/feedback. Including digital platforms such as NovoConnect and Mazevo Scheduler as needed.
Supporting and assisting the Campus Life unit and other Student Activities professional staff with SAuCE programs, events, and initiatives. Managing office/student budgets by projecting, allocating, and tracking costs.
Building strategic partnerships with other NCF departments and programs in support of the mission and goals of the Division of Student Affairs and collaborating in the creation of programs and services
Serves on college committees as assigned, assists with other campus events as assigned.
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor degree required. Some experience with event programming or student activity advising required.Strong organizational and communication skills required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supervising is preferred.
