Participate in professional service.Minimum QualificationsAn earned Ph.D. degree (All-But-Dissertation, ABD, cases will be considered) in civil engineering with specialization in transportation engineering, or a closely related field, with a research emphasis on connected and automated vehicles, traffic operations, traffic simulation, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and traffic flow theory. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong publication record in connected and autonomous vehicle research, traffic simulation, and ITS. Potential to collaborate with other faculty in research.

Preferred QualificationsResearch experience in transportation engineering and management. Proven interdisciplinary research experience on state/federally funded projects. Experience in proposal writing.

Compensation and Benefits

SalaryCommensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine month, non-tenure track position, renewal up to three (3) years depending on satisfactory performance, to begin on November 1, 2023.Benefits InformationTennessee Tech offers a competitive benefits package.
