Summary

The Education Division at Saint Xavier University invites applications for part-time instructors to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Education Division’s teacher preparation programs. 

Part-time teaching positions may become available throughout the academic year. Applicants with expertise that matches course scheduling needs will be contacted for an interview. Semester schedules may fluctuate, and courses are not guaranteed. The Division does its best to give ample notice of schedule changes. 

Candidates with credentials, background, and teaching experience in the following areas of expertise are encouraged to apply: 

Early Childhood Education

Elementary Education 

Middle Level Education 

Secondary Education

• Science 
• Mathematics
• Social Science
• Spanish 
• Art
• Music

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Earned Master’s or Doctorate in appropriate area(s) of Education 
• Experience working in teacher education
• 3+ years of experience as P-12 educator in an area listed above
• Current or previous state educator licensure
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g. Canvas) 
• Permission to work in the United States 

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a master's degree in Education as a minimum. Candidates who have a PhD are preferred. Additionally, candidates who have online teaching and course development experience are preferred. While all qualified individuals are invited to apply, applicants with expertise in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Middle Level Education, Secondary Education, Special Education and Teaching English as a Second Language are highly encouraged to apply.
