Position Summary

The Department of Urban and Regional Planning in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology invites applications for a position as Assistant Professor.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Education

Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning or in any related area.

Minimum Required Experience

Qualifications

Research and scholarship focus on the domains of climate and sustainability, transportation and the environment, and community resilience.

The ideal candidate’s work may draw on a range of disciplinary and methodological approaches.

Scholarly work that demonstrates collaboration with historically marginalized communities is a plus.

Applicants who can help advance the department’s efforts to address justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion is a plus.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in planning law, environmental policy, science-policy interactions and transportation systems, and environmental change.

Develop new elective courses at the intersections of policy, management, environment and sustainability, and social justice and equity.

Perform other duties as assigned.
