This position is in the Advancement division, and will serve as a web development specialist working with the University's content management system, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Blackthorn Event Registration Module, Give Campus Giving Pages, and additional customer relationship management tools. This position will report to the Advancement Web Team Lead and collaborate with other units in Advancement. This position is responsible for:
- The coordination and implementation of emails sent through marketing cloud; this includes the design, creation and implementation of email automation through the use of Marketing Cloud Journeys;
- The design, implementation, and maintenance of the Advancement Intranet site;
- The creation and support of Blackthorn event Registration pages;
- Support for Advancement's Giving page and Social Media Platform;
- Collaborate with University Marcomm and other Advancement departments to ensure all web related content and email sends are following best practices.
This position is critical to maintaining and continuously improving the division's web presence and the impact of other digital platforms on the university’s success.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or three years of relevant experience.
Strong web development and web writing skills with an emphasis on editing.
Skills in: Copy editing, web publishing, and page layout.
Experience with content management systems and customer relationship management tools.
Effective written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Marketing, or Computer Science.
Two years of direct work experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, preferably Email Studio, Content Builder, and Journey Builder.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive an issue to resolution.
Outstanding grammar skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to talk with technical and non-technical people.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, be well organized, and be self-motivated.
Experience in HTML, JavaScript, JSON and XML. Cascade, Give Campus, or Salesforce experience a plus.
