Teaching Artist: PLA Student Discovery Program
The University of Pennsylvania, a world-renowned Ivy League institution, is seeking a Teaching Artist for the PLA Student Discovery Program. This is a temporary, non-exempt position.

Responsibilities include conducting up to 4 pre-performance visits in K-12 schools to prepare students for themes, techniques, and influences in theatre performances. Teaching artists develop 45-minute to 1.5-hour lesson plans, which may involve dance, choreography, scene studies, acting exercises, discussions, creative writing, or visual art activities. Preparation time is 2 hours per 1 hour of classroom time. Schedules are coordinated with teachers and Penn Live Arts staff.

The position is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, within the Penn Live Arts department. Pay range is $7.25 - $75.00 per hour. The University of Pennsylvania is an equal opportunity employer and may require a background check.
