All candidates for the competition must meet the general requirement prescribed by the Labor Act ("Official Gazette" No. 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22, 46/23 and 64/23).

Candidates for the competition, in addition to the general criteria set out in the Labour Act (Official Gazette No. 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22, 46/23 and 64/23), must also meet the criteria prescribed in Article 39, paragraph 6 of the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act (Official Gazette No. 119/22), Article 123, paragraphs 3 and 4 of the Statute of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Article 52, paragraphs 3 and 4 of the Statute of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Osijek, the consolidated text and Article 26 of the Ordinance on the implementation of the election/re-election procedure for scientific-teaching, artistic-teaching, teaching, associate and professional positions at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, consolidated text. The aforementioned acts are published on the website www.gfos.unios.hr.

Candidates for the competition for the aasociate position asa an Teaching assistant are required to submit documentation specified in the Form 4, which can be found on the Faculty's web site www.gfos.unios.hr.

The Decision on determining the criteria for a particularly successful student and on additional criteria for selection for the vacant associate teaching assistant position at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Osijek (link: https://www.gfos.unios.hr/fakultet/akti-fakulteta-odluke) applies to candidates in the competition. Candidates are required to submit credible documentation to support the allegations on meeting additional criteria.

Candidates for the Competition who meet the formal competition criteria and who have submitted all mandatory documentation with their application for the competition must proceed to the second level of candidate selection, which includes checking motivation and aptitude for scientific-research work in the scientific area of Technical sciences, scientific field Architecture and Urban Planning based on a written test and/or an interview in front of an expert committee. Candidates will be notified of the place and time an interview in front of an expert committee by e-mail. Candidates who do not proceed to the second level of selection will be deemed to have withdrawn their application for the competition and will not be considered candidates for the competition.

The competition is open to both genders under equal conditions. Only persons who meet the formal requirements of the competition and who have submitted a timely and complete application for the competition will be considered candidates. A complete application is an application that contains all the information and attachments specified in the competition and is signed by hand. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.

Persons who submit untimely and incomplete applications and do not meet the formal requirements of the competition will not be considered candidates and will not be notified of the results of the competition.

For candidates who are foreign citizens, it is necessary to provide proof of knowledge of the Croatian language in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (C2).
Before starting employment, it is necessary to have a foreign school qualification recognized.

Candidates, who, on the basis of special regulations – the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families ("Official Gazette" No. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23), Art. 48 of the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War (Official Gazette No. 84/21), Art. 48.f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids ("Official Gazette" No. 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13 and 98/19), Art. 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities ("Official Gazette" No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20), invoke the right to priority in employment, are obliged to invoke this right in their application for the competition and to attach all evidence required by special regulations for the exercise of this right. The aforementioned candidates shall have priority in employment in relation to other applicants, only under equal conditions.

For candidates who, in their application, invoke the right to preferential employment under the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families ("Official Gazette", No. 121/17, 98/19 and 84/21) and the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War ("Official Gazette", No. 84/21), the list of evidence required to exercise this right is available at the link of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans https://branitelji.gov.hr/zaposljavanje-843/843.

Candidates who invoke the right to priority in employment pursuant to Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities ("Official Gazette" No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20) are required to invoke this right in their application for the competition and to submit all evidence of meeting the required conditions, as well as proof of disability.

Applications with evidence of fulfillment of tender conditions must be sent within 30 days from the date of publication of the competition, exclusively in the electronic form, to the address pisarnica@gfos.hr with the title: "Prijava na natječaj pod točkom 2" or "Application to the tender under point 2".

All candidates of the Competition shall be informed of the results of the Competition within fifteen (15) days of its completion.

All candidates are required to enclose with the application for the competition a completed and signed Consent Form, in which the candidate gives his/her consent that all his/her data contained in the competition documentation shall be collected and processed for the purpose of implementing the competition in accordance with the regulations governing the protection of personal data, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation). The Consent Form is published on the website of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Osijek (link: http://www.gfos.unios.hr/obrasci). Without a duly completed and signed Consent Form with the application for the competition, the application will be considered incomplete and will be rejected.
