Great opportunity for a Timetable & Planning Officer to join the Division of Academic and Student Engagement and to support the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology (SET)
Student Administration Operations provides streamlined, integrated and intuitive administration services and systems to enable successful student progression through their university lifecycle. The Student Administration Operations unit includes Coursework Scholarships and Prizes, Enrolments, Examinations and Results, Graduations, Student Data and Reporting, Timetabling and Planning, and Student Systems.
Working under general direction, the Timetable and Planning Officer is responsible for the maintenance and delivery of a range of learning and teaching data that supports the university’s academic programs and associated student and staff services, such as timetabling, class allocations, scheduling and enrolment. The Timetable and Planning Officer provides expert advice about the utilisation of teaching space for the purpose of proactively supporting the pedagogical objectives of the University. Working in close collaboration with academic staff, this role provides specialised support to translate learning and teaching requirements into the core business systems.
To be successful you will need:
- The ability to interact collegially with professional and academic staff and strive for excellence to ensure best outcomes for students, academics, and the university.
- Demonstrated experience in timetabling and class scheduling and other student and curriculum system processes in a tertiary environment.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines, implementing plans to achieve defined outcomes, and the ability to investigate, analyse and implement procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional and responsive manner and to work collaboratively to deliver student centric results.
- Proven knowledge and understanding of the University environment, policies and procedures, and their application in the provision of student administration.
