Teaching Consultant (Fieldwork Co-ordinator) in the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences (Appointment for 12 months) [Ref. C/R/558/09]
Duties
- Teach social work practice and fieldwork-related courses;
- Solicit local and non-local fieldwork places from the agencies, recruit and supervise fieldwork supervisors, match students, supervisors, and fieldwork agencies of two social work and one counselling programmes;
- Provide high quality control and monitoring for fieldwork practice;
- Conduct fieldwork orientation workshops;
- Organise training for fieldwork supervisors;
- Formulate fieldwork policy and update fieldwork manuals;
- Work with the clerical staff in updating the fieldwork record system;
- Draft fieldwork-related reports; and
- Perform other tasks that are related to fieldwork learning.
Requirements
A PhD/Master’s degree in Social Work, preferably with 8 years of experience in social work field. Experience in fieldwork supervision and coordination will be an asset for consideration. Excellent communication, collaboration, and people skills to work with internal and external stakeholders; and good command of English and Chinese are required.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Terms of appointment will be based on the current visiting remuneration package.
