Job Summary
The Caltech Seismological Laboratory seeks a part-time staff member to produce a complete set of documentation on the use of the Station Information System (SIS) and assist in user support.
Essential Job Duties
- Will produce written documentation using SIS, with a user manual being a deliverable product.
- Will label and organize the above documentation into content management systems such as wikis and document archives so that they are searchable and accessible online.
- Will respond to user inquiries and facilitate communication between users and SIS development team.
- Will prepare agendas, take attendance, record meetings, and distribute meeting notes.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to use personal computers (Windows or Mac) and Microsoft Office, Zoom, standard web graphical user interfaces, as well as some scanning and photo archiving software.
- Attention to detail and the ability to write clear instructions and explanations.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organization skills.
- Must also be self-motivated and capable of problem-solving, both individually (unsupervised) and as a team member.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.

Hiring Range
$23.75 to $27.75 per hour
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
