handling procurement of equipment and consumables; providing professional services in installation, calibration, inspection, repair and maintenance of equipment as well as conducting safety tests; providing technical support and preparing equipment, laboratories, practical rooms (including the furniture and linens) to support learning, teaching & research activities; performing technical support and administrative duties; keeping an inventory and stock-checking of equipment items and associated accessories; providing technical support to staff and students in preparation for the Clinical Practicum (e.g. mask-fitting); and performing any other duties as assigned.Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- a recognised degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Testing and Certification, Analytical Science or a related discipline;
- experience in performing basic maintenance, safety testing and calibration of equipment/facilities is required;
- preferably with work experience in operating equipment/facilities for learning and teaching laboratories;
- a good command of English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua); and
- good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
[Applicants with a recognised Higher Diploma/Higher Certificate in a relevant discipline and at least 2 years’ relevant post-qualification experience will also be considered. Selected applicants may be required to attend a trade test.]
