This role forms part of School of Biological Sciences team within the College of Science Function and is aligned to the Provost Portfolio within the University.

Experience
To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:
- A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field, with an understanding of aquatic ecosystems and ecological restoration principles.
- Experience in conducting field surveys and environmental monitoring, particularly involving aquatic plant communities, water quality and sediment condition.
- Proficiency in laboratory settings, including the processing and analysis of environmental samples and the measurement of biotic and abiotic parameters.
- Demonstrated experience in data entry, awareness of data standards, basic ecological data analysis.
- Demonstrated communication skills including preparation of content for technical reports and ability to present findings to the general public under direction.
- Desirable to have experience in the preparation of high-quality figures for publication of technical reports or other publications.
- Desirable experience working in coastal, estuarine, or hypersaline systems, including familiarity with the logistical requirements of remote fieldwork.
- Desirable experience working with aquatic plants including seagrasses and benthic macrophytes.
