Technical Product Manager III
Job Summary
Responsible for identifying customer needs and driving the vision, execution, and business objectives of a technical product. Tracks overall market and competitive dynamics. Act as intermediary between market/business requirements and engineering/developers, advocating for the product internally to turn product vision into reality. Define product features and drive adoption of product that will lead product team to make more informed business decisions. Prevent roadblocks across teams to meet quality standards, project deadlines, and business objectives. Manage the long-term roadmap, marketing, implementation, partners, and other groups. Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline. Conducts complex, important work under minimal supervision and with latitude for independent judgement.

Responsibilities
- Lead product development for technical products.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product strategy.
- Develop and present product proposals, strategy, roadmaps, cost models, etc. to stakeholders.
- Align product vision with business goals/requirements.
- Manage product backlog and prioritize features based on user needs and business impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, licensing, legal, privacy, security, etc.) to ensure product success.
- Possess clear understanding of license compliance for products.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience). Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels: Technical Product Manager, III: Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
Preferences
- Proven ability to define and manage the life cycle for mid to complex technical products from conception to launch
- Experience with product life cycle management (PLM) tools
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies
- Experience with the management of Microsoft/M365 products and voice services with a focus on product features/functionality and license compliance.
