Technical Services Coordinator

Reference number: 26061

  • Term: Ongoing, full-time basis
  • Remuneration: $122,852 to $134,385 pa (HEW7) (inclusive of $103,811 to $113,557 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
  • Location: Gardens Point

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Technical Services Coordinator to join Alumni and Engagement, Engagement, Chancellery Division.

The Technical Services Coordinator is responsible for managing high quality service delivery to venue hire clients, guests and visitors to the University’s cultural venues and public spaces and overseeing a range of technical operations and systems that support performances, functions and events, The Technical Services Coordinator works collaboratively with the Manage, Venues & Events to ensure effective communication across Alumni & Engagement, LETS and Venues & Events

What you need to succeed

  1. Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of a relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience in technical support for events. 
  2. Demonstrated ability to support a team of technical staff through task assignment, performance monitoring and workflow management.
  3. Capacity to develop and deliver on-the-job training programs to achieve consistent standards of service delivery.
  4. Evidence of high level interpersonal skills to interact with clients and work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  5. Evidence of effective problem-solving and time management skills.
  6. Demonstrated ability to interpret policies and procedures and to apply them appropriately within technical services. 
  7. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain an effective health and safety culture.
