Term Faculty (Non-Tenure Track) - Religious Studies (25-26)
Position Description:
The Department of Religious Studies at DePaul University invites applicants for a term faculty position in East Asian Buddhism, beginning in January 2026. Scholars working on critical approaches to gender, race, sexuality, inequality, power, and/or politics are encouraged to apply. In addition to Religious Studies courses, the candidate will also teach courses in the Honors Program, including an introductory discussion-based seminar called Religious Worldviews and Ethical Perspectives—a course that looks at religious traditions, including religious ethics, in comparative perspective.
Qualifications:
The teaching load is three courses per quarter. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of excellent teaching. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this 10-month position is $60,000 - $70,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
