Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated skills in teaching and learning technologies and design practices across multiple modalities, including learning management systems (LMS), videoconferencing software, AI, and in-classroom technologies
- Demonstrated knowledge of graphic design principles
- Experience coordinating, promoting, and marketing large and small events
- Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders to plan and execute events
- Ability to collect and analyze data and use evidence-based practices and critical thinking skills to solve problems
- Ability to utilize strategic planning abilities and project management skills to work accurately and expediently
- Demonstrated skills in print/web design and photo/video editing
- Demonstrated skills in oral and written communication, including proper use of writing conventions, tone, and audience awareness
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s in Educational Technology or related field
- Experience in working with faculty at the university or community college level
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles
- Demonstrated knowledge of academic affairs/university operations, business practices, procedures, and structures
Job Description:
The Training Specialist is responsible for planning, assessing, coordinating, and providing program materials for organizational training and development.
Job Duties:
- Recruit faculty and administrator subject matter experts on identified topics and coordinate, host, and facilitate CTLS programs that support faculty teaching success and participant engagement
- Develop registration and promotional material and market Center for Teaching, Learning, & Scholarship (CTLS) programming through electronic media using graphic design software and principles
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with unit and campus stakeholders to plan and execute events
- Design and develop content to support faculty success in teaching and learning via print/web/LMS content
- Keep abreast of new trends in teaching and learning and provide support for CTLS pilot programs
- Collect and analyze data on CTLS programs
- Perform other related duties as required
