Job Summary

This individual is responsible for entering all transfer credit-related transcript data into the student record; researching required aspects of transcripts and/or schools; reviewing/updating prior transfer records as needed; and evaluating transfer credit for new incoming and readmitted students.

Responsibilities

  • Researches accreditation, grading scales, catalogs, etc. for schools attended by transfer students.
  • Enters transcript data into Banner for all transfer students, including readmits.
  • Reviews and verifies the accuracy of prior transfer credit entries in Banner upon student updates/readmission.
  • Updates final transcript records.
  • Generates and mails transfer evaluation letters.
  • Performs supplemental transfer evaluations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Qualifications

One year of related experience in a university Registrar's Office.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Knowledge of Ellucian Banner software desired.

Must have current knowledge of the rules, regulations, and laws pertaining to student records.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

Must be detail oriented, possess strong professional communication skills, and be able to multitask in a deadline-driven environment.

Must be able to make logical, efficient decisions while working independently.
