Applications are invited for a trial administrator to work with a team working with Professor Susan Jebb on a research programme within the Health Behaviours team. The team focus is on improving public health through individual behavioural interventions to help people who have poor diets, are overweight, or who smoke.
The successful applicant will be working in the vibrant Health Behaviours team, supporting researchers who are running trials to look at new treatments for obesity. Responsibilities will include being responsible for the day-to-day administrative tasks, such as managing supplies, as well as using spreadsheets and databases to monitor participant data.
You will have experience of working in an administrative role, be able to use standard computer programs, including using databases and have excellent email and telephone communication skills. You do not need any pre-existing expertise in health or research.
You will be based in the Health Behaviours Team, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG as your normal place of work but there may be the opportunity for occasional remote working. This post is advertised as full-time, but part-time hours will be considered (minimum 60% FTE). Candidates requiring flexible hours and/or hybrid working are welcome.
The position is funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation until 31 December 2027.
