"Trusts and Foundations Research Funding Lead"

Greenwich Research and Innovation (GRI) is seeking to recruit a Trusts and Foundations Research Funding Lead to augment the GRI Funding Development Team. This important new role has been established to grow our research, knowledge exchange and impact that is funded from philanthropic and charitable sources. It will involve establishing and nurturing relationships with donors and philanthropic funders of research and will lead and manage research fundraising from Trusts and Foundations. Along with proactively seeking new opportunities to increase our world-leading research and excellent impact, a specific aim of the role is to connect across the university to support interdisciplinary projects.

With an in-depth knowledge and experience of fundraising, especially from Trusts and Foundations, the successful candidate will have considerable and demonstrable experience of developing relationships and raising funding from donors. The role-holder should have excellent networking and influencing skills, and be able to act entrepreneurially whilst supporting the delivery of the University's Research and Knowledge Exchange Sub-Strategy. The role-holder will work closely with the Directors of our Research Centres and Institutes, the Director and Associate Director of Greenwich Research and Innovation and the university's Partnerships Hub, to identify and promote programmes of research that support and align with the aims and priorities of Trusts and Foundations.
