Work Hours: Part-time up to 19 hours per week.

Objective:

• Provide student tutoring and assistance with computer software.
• Fulfill tutor training requirements.
• Manage resources and appointment calendar.
• Keep all materials, equipment and furniture in an orderly manner.
• Provide other duties as assigned.

Required Quals Summary:

College-level knowledge in either: accounting, biology (anatomy & physiology), chemistry (I, II and organic), mathematics (calculus 1, 2 and 3) or physics (calculus based). Basic knowledge and experience in Windows, MS Office & use of the Internet.

Special Notes To Applicants:

Position may require working some evening and Sunday hours. THIS IS A 9 MONTH POSITION, Mid August - Mid May. Summer employment is optional and on an as needed basis.

6. ETC Leaders (optional) must also prepare material and host ETC sessions.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. College-level or equivalent courses in either: Accounting, Biology (Anatomy & Physiology), Chemistry (I, II and Organic), Mathematics (Calculus 1, 2 and 3) or Physics (Calculus based). Basic knowledge and experience in Windows, MS Office & use of the Internet.
2. A minimum GPA of 2.5 in related courses

Minimum Competencies:

1. Should be able to tutor online.
2. Excellent communication skills.
3. Sensitive to cultural considerations.
4. Works comfortably with people from diverse backgrounds.
5. Be able to explain concepts to others effectively.
6. Ability to work with students one-on-one and in small groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor of Science in accounting, mathematics or science. Previous tutoring /teaching experience.
2. 3.0 or higher GPA in related college course work
