Job Summary/offer: Responsibilities and tasks
- Independent implementation of scientific projects with a focus on small animal cardiology and internal medicine
- Establishment of an internationally visible research programme in the area of small animal cardiology
- Authoring of publications and acquisition of third-party funding
- Independent teaching within the Vetmeduni curricula, in postgraduate scientific and clinical-practical training
- Supervision of non-graduate and graduate students as well as supervision of residents
- Participation in science, teaching, knowledge transfer and administration
- Responsible participation in clinical services (including, among other duties, the independent conduction and supervision of cardiology and medical consultations), including on-call, weekend, and night shifts
- Administrative tasks within the university organization
- Active contribution to the strategic goals of the department and Vetmeduni

Specific Requirements
Necessary education, qualifications and knowledge on taking up employment
- Completed studies in Veterinary Medicine and doctorate/PhD
- Completed rotating internship or fellowship or equivalent clinical training
- Board exam eligible ECVIM-CA cardiology or Diplomate ECVIM-CA or ACVIM cardiology
- In-depth knowledge and experience in small animal cardiology
- Publication track record in line with the career level
- Experience with national or international research collaborations
- Teaching experience
- Good English level (B2)
