The section seeks a cardiothoracic imaging fellowship trained individual who will engage in scholarly work, teaching, and clinical service. Clinical work includes pulmonary and cardiac imaging. The successful candidate will work with cardiovascular MRI and CT, chest CT and chest radiographs.

The Cardiothoracic Imaging section currently has ten faculty members with a range of expertise in pulmonary and cardiac imaging and provides pulmonary, vascular, cardiac CT and MR diagnostic interpretations. The section maintains close relationships with internal medicine, pulmonology, oncology, bone marrow transplantation, cardiology, and cardiac and thoracic surgery services at all hospital sites; the University of Washington Medical Center Montlake and Northwest campuses, Harborview Medical Center, and Fred Hutch Cancer Center. Cardiothoracic Imaging has an active fellowship program and faculty are responsible for the instruction of cardiothoracic imaging fellows, in addition to medical students and diagnostic radiology residents.

The base salary range for this position at the Assistant Professor rank will be $36,690–$42,290 per month ($440,280–$507,480 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. The base salary range for this position at the Associate Professor rank will be $39,945-$46,041 per month ($479,340-$552,492 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. The base salary range for this position at the Professor rank will be: $43,940-$50,646 per month ($527,828-$607,752 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. 

This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Qualifications

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

• M.D., or foreign equivalent, in medicine and eligibility for medical licensure in Washington State
• Be board certified or board eligible in diagnostic radiology
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in diagnostic radiology and have completed a fellowship training in cardiothoracic imaging
• Demonstrated record of scientific presentations or publications
