Job Summary
Susquehanna University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning in August 2026. This is a one-year contract, with the possibility of renewal contingent on university budget and staffing needs.
The Sigmund Weis School of Business is one of the small number of programs accredited by AACSB-International that focus exclusively on undergraduate education; 33 faculty members serve approximately 600 majors. The school is one of ten, private, undergraduate-only schools with AACSB Accreditation and is unique in that it guarantees internships in a foreign country to students. Specific Responsibilities
Responsibilities primarily include teaching Marketing courses as needed by the department. Priority will be given to a candidate who demonstrates expertise in teaching Digital Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Social Media Marketing, and Introduction to Marketing.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Marketing or a closely related field; candidates with a master's degree in Marketing or a closely related field and at least 3 years relevant professional experience will also be considered. A record that illustrates current (or suggests the potential for) excellent teaching in the area of digital and social media marketing and consumer behavior. This candidate will be expected to interact openly and inspire students through their teaching strategies which demonstrates a high level of organization and communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry experience in the domain of digital and social media
- Ability to teach Professional Selling courses, such as Sales Management
