The Opportunity
The Department of Physical Sciences of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach Campus, invites applications for a one-year non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics position. The position may be renewed for a second year depending on funding.
The position will be filled by a physicist or engineer who will teach courses in either algebra-based or calculus-based introductory physics. The teaching load will be 24 credits (8 sections) per academic year, typically distributed as four 3-credit courses per semester.
About the Department of Physical Sciences
The Physical Sciences Department in the College of Arts and Sciences is home to over forty faculty and more than 350 students in our three B.S. programs (Engineering Physics, Space Physics, and Astronomy & Astrophysics) and two graduate programs (MS and PhD in Engineering Physics). The department offers three minors in Chemistry, Physics, and Astronomy & Astrophysics).

Qualifications
Required Education and Qualifications:
- The successful candidate should hold a Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering, or a closely-related discipline
