The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Villanova University welcomes applications for a nine-month visiting teaching position spanning Fall 2026 and Spring 2027, at the rank of either Assistant Teaching Professor (for those with a PhD) or Instructor. The teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. The primary duties are to foundational courses in mathematics and/or statistics. Teaching upper-level courses is also possible.
Our department currently has 45 full-time faculty members and is known for its collegiality. Our faculty are engaged and supportive, and strive to foster academic excellence. Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach 12 credit hours (three or four courses) per semester in person.
- Participate in the life of the department.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; Strong teaching ability.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; Exceptional teaching ability.
