Visiting Lecturer of Economics, 2-year Position
The Division of Social Sciences at Maryville College, a selective four-year liberal arts college committed to superior teaching, invites applications for a full-time Visiting Lecturer of Economics position beginning in August 2026. Qualified candidates will have a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts setting, and previous teaching experience is preferred. An M.A. or Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field is required; ABD in the final stages of completion will also be considered. Graduate coursework in math-related fields and experience teaching undergraduate courses is preferred.
Teaching responsibilities may include Principles of Economics (combined Macro and Micro), Development Economics, International Trade and Finance, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Quantitative Literacy, and Introductory Statistics. Teaching in Data Science is also a possibility. Supervision of undergraduate senior research projects is expected.
