"Web Director"

Works independently to develop and maintain complex web sites and develop, enhance, and maintain a variety of digital properties with a broad audience and / or with a high consequence of error. Mentors less experienced staff. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

The Department of Surgery (DoS) is looking for a creative Web Director who will further the Department's mission by supporting our evolving portfolio of 100+ websites. Reporting directly to the Associate Chair of Finance & Administration, the Web Director works closely with a wide range of stakeholders and units to achieve DoS goals within the existing framework of UCSF websites and must be able to integrate and present information in a clear, efficient, and user-friendly manner. The Web Director will be responsible for leading the development of websites, providing content management, content strategy, and project management.

The Web Director will also use his or her skills as a seasoned, experienced communications professional to produce design and layout for a variety of non-routine and moderately complex website applications; ensure search engine optimization; and develop website content strategy for center, lab, and divisional websites. The Web Director also is responsible for website maintenance and updating internal and external pages to reflect current departmental and divisional activities and programs related to the Department's research, clinical, educational, and public service missions.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $113,900- $170,900 (Annual Rate).
