Working Group Leader (m/f/div)

The Leibniz Institute for Food Systems Biology at the Technical University of Munich (Leibniz-LSB@TUM) is seeking a Working Group Leader for the research group Integrated Food Systems Analysis. The position is full-time (100% TV-L E 14 with option for E 15) for a period of 3 + 3 years.

Your job profile includes

• Integration of multi-omics data sets using efficient algorithms, machine learning, AI methods, and complex network analysis tools.
• Further scientific development of the working group to support Food Systems Biology.
• Acquisition of third-party funding and scientific management of research projects.
• Supervision of doctoral candidates and students.
• Establishment of collaborations within Leibniz-LSB@TUM and with external partners.
• Publishing scientific results in peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements

The ideal candidate holds a PhD in bioinformatics, computational systems biology, or a related field, with a strong background in bioinformatics, chemoinformatics, machine learning, AI, and data analysis. Proficiency in programming, experience in mentoring, solid English skills, self-motivation, and organizational skills are essential.

Work environment

Work with internationally recognized experts to improve food ingredients and promote healthy nutrition, with emphasis on collaborative interactions and support at Leibniz-LSB@TUM.
