About the Department: Japanese courses are situated within the World Languages Department at Bakersfield College alongside American Sign Language, Spanish, and English for Multilingual Students (EMLS). The World Languages Department provides opportunities for students to develop cross-cultural competency, global curiosity, and communicative proficiency in their target language(s).

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's in the language being taught OR
• Bachelor's in the language being taught AND Master's in another language or linguistics OR The equivalent.

Kern Community College District 175-day Faculty Salary Schedule $89,080.98 - $116,884.82 annually. Maximum Placement Level Salary: $116,884.82 annually.
