Are you an excellent writer looking for an internship opportunity that will build your skills, portfolio, and network? The College of Engineering Marketing and Communications team is looking to hire an intern!
Our dynamic team includes writers, editors, designers, and multimedia developers who share the stories of our college by translating innovative technical, scientific, and engineering-based content into written and visual stories for a more general audience.
We are looking for creative communicators to help us with a variety of writing and communications projects.
Over the course of the internship, our intern will assist with:
- Science writing features and briefs
- Alumni and student profiles
- Documentation
- Editing and proofreading
- Fundraising materials
- Social media content
- Research and benchmarking
- Other projects based on skills, abilities, and interest
- Other duties as assigned

You should demonstrate:
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Outstanding research and interviewing skills
- Illustrate reliability, have the ability to work independently and have a sense of creativity
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; or working toward a degree.
- Skills/experience with design, photography, HTML/CSS, and content management systems are a plus, but not required.
- A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
Additional Information:
- Interns work a part-time schedule during the semester and up to full-time during the summer.
- This internship is a paid position expected to last during the Spring semester, potetntial to extend thru the summer.
