Advertised Job Summary
The Program Manager will be the primary, on-site staff member for the Washington Semester Program (WSP) in Washington, D.C. In this part-time, nine month position, the incumbent will oversee the student experience in DC for approximately 16 students each fall and spring semester. This includes planning and executing orientation activities, conducting weekly touch points with students, managing housing and roommate concerns, serving as emergency contact, scheduling activities and travel, and virtually attending WSP related events held in Columbia, SC. The manager will serve as instructor of record for the 12-hour internship course, meeting with students, meeting with supervisors, and grading several components of the class. Honors College staff members should possess a wide-ranging intellectual curiosity and a commitment to working with high-achieving students.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Applicants should possess program management skills, including budget management, ability to learn university software systems, deep knowledge of the Washington D.C. area, experience with small event planning and travel. Applicants should have some prior experience working with or teaching high school or college students.
