Rate My Professor Lindsey Shotts

Shotts joined Ohio University Chillicothe in fall 2018 as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Instruction. She teaches medical-surgical and critical care courses in both classroom and laboratory settings for associate and bachelor's nursing programs. Her responsibilities include managing adjunct clinical faculty, serving as faculty advisor for the student nurse organization, chairing the graduation committee, and participating in recruiting and orientation activities. Known for her approachable and supportive teaching style, she provides resources to students at all levels and has developed a network of alumni working in local hospitals, recruiting many as clinical preceptors and instructors. In May 2025, she received the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurse Educators from the DAISY Foundation, nominated by multiple students for her inspiring mentorship, encouragement, and dedication. Shotts has also completed a simulation certificate program at West Virginia University. Recently promoted to Associate Professor of Instruction in the College of Health Sciences and Professions, she contributes to nursing education initiatives at the campus, including camps for high school students and program development.
